1. When will I know which domain name I received?

Domain name confirmation e-mails are sent within 24 hours of payment. Because of the real time nature of the Internet, domains have to be checked, registered and setup manually.

2. Can I get a shorter period than 12 months?

Yes, we offer a monthly option, cancel anytime.

3. Can I save my site to CD?

Yes. We offer a Keepsake CD option which will store your complete wedding website on CD. Keep the memory forever, including all your photos, entries, guestbook comments and more. Only your enabled pages and features will be included, whatever is active on your site. Some functionality will be lost, like making new guestbook entries, online RSVP and others.

For more information, visit our Keepsake CD page.

4. I am still seeing an old photo after uploading a new one.

If you are seeing an old photo in the thumbnail image of your control panel entry after uploading a new photo, that is a cache issue. Cache is your web browser's memory, it is still remembering your old photo even though you uploaded a new photo.

First, after uploading the new photo, go to your actual website and view the page with the new photo. It should appear when you view the page, you may have to hit your refresh button once or twice for your browser to load the new image. If the new image appears, your upload was successful.

The old thumbnail image in your control panel will update once your browser's cache has been deleted and browser restarted. It will eventually update, but if you want to reset the cache manually, you can follow these instructions for Internet Explorer:

1. Go to your 'TOOLS' menu at the top.
2. Select 'INTERNET OPTIONS' at the bottom.
3. Click the 'DELETE FILES' button and the 'OK' button on the warning.
4. Click the 'OK' button at the bottom of the window to apply and close.
5. Restart your browser and log back in to your control panel.

That's it.

5. How do I make my music smaller?

There is a 1mb limit for the file you can upload for the background music. This is to allow your website to load at a normal speed, files larger than this will stall a Net connection while trying to load your other data like pages, images and text. A visitor on dial-up could have to wait up to 20 minutes for your 1mb file to load, making your website unusable.

There are 2 options to make music files smaller:

1. Use iTunes to import a file off CD at a low bitrate:

a. Select 'PREFERENCES' from Edit menu
b. Select the 'IMPORTING' tab at the top
c. Import using MP3 Encoder
d. SETTING should be 'CUSTOM'
e. Select a low Stereo Bit Rate like 56kbps or lower
f. Click 'OK' then 'OK' again
g. Import file off CD.
h. If it is too large, you will have to repeat steps and use lower bit rate.

2. Use audio editing software to fade out a song early to shrink file size.

6. My background music doesn't play

Internet Explorer is the only browser to support background music like this. If you are using Safari, Firefox or other, that may be the reason. Hopefully they will add that compatibility soon.

Also be sure to check your system volume, speaker volume if separate, any settings that may turn off webpage music or third party software. Firewalls and security software have also been known to stop music files from loading on websites.

7. Can I use my own domain?

Yes. You just need access to your domain settings and set it to 'mask' or 'frame forward' to your eWedding url. Your eWedding url is the temporary url you received at signup. http://www.eWedding.com/sites/USERID (Replace 'USERID' with your User ID). Within 12-24 hours after that is set, your domain will take people to your wedding website at eWedding.com.

Some registrars do not allow you to setup your domain in this fashion. Some registrars will also charge a fee to give you access to these settings. If you cannot edit your domain, you can choose another for free when paying for your site at eWedding.com.

8. Can I have the domain when my site is finished?

Yes. We can transfer the domain from our account to an account where you have total control for a one time transfer fee of $25. You will then be responsible for the yearly fee to keep the registration active at the registrar of your choice.

You can also choose to wait for the domain to expire and register the domain without paying the transfer fee to eWedding.com. However, it may take months for the registrar to release the domain to the available pool again once it has expired. Transfers from eWedding.com can usually be completed with 24 hours of payment.

9. When will my website expire?

You can check your expiry date at any time on your 'Account Info' page in your control panel.

10. How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time in your eWedding control panel. Once you login, click the 'Cancel Subscription' link on the left under 'QUICK LINKS'. Cancellations cannot be processed via e-mail, they have to be submitted through your control panel.
